Mr. Rule was chosen as the 2007 Transit hero for going above and beyond the call of duty on June 11, 2007, when he notified the operations dispatch unit that a suspected rapist just de-boarded his bus. Rule recognized the suspect as he was exiting the bus, and he quickly decided to take a photo using his camera phone. His quick actions led to Kaplan's arrest and imprisonment. October 2007 |
