The Office of Public Communications (OPC) is dedicated to providing Broward County residents, businesses, visitors and media with timely information regarding county services, programs and news. The office is responsible for media relations; public information during activations of the Emergency Operations Center; managing the County’s Web and social media sites; and media services to cablecast and Webcast government meetings and video programming. OPC has three specialty areas that include Public Information, Call Center and Print Shop.
This section is served by a group of public information and digital design professionals who provide creative and marketing support to all County agencies for news releases; graphic and web design services; media services and video production; printed publications such as newsletters, brochures, posters, annual reports and flyers. The Call Center is a multi-lingual, one-stop shop for information on Broward County government services. Customer service representatives assist callers with information on any County service to ensure easy access to County government.
